Second day in Meteora

Second day in Meteora and as expected … the sky is always partially covered. The sun pierces some clouds allowing a glimpse of some areas of blue sky. I ‘m going to enjoy my photos this morning while it lasts . We leave on the same sites yesterday because the light is very different and this could bring a little more depth to my photos. We also go on sites that I spotted yesterday but over which we we were not stopped. This will keep us busy all morning. And I did well to enjoy because time does not improve . The sun starting to hide behind the clouds.

It’s time to switch to visit mode. We begin by returning to the monastery of Varlaam we missed last night. From the outside, we thought that this monastery was big enough but in the end the visit is fast . As I already said in the previous post, visit the monasteries quickly than spend several minutes in the chapel to decipher paintings. Moreover, most of the time , there is a considerable world ( a lot of Russian tourists that seem to come on pilgrimage ) so it does not necessarily give you want to linger .

Before going visister the last monastery we descend to Kalambaka for lunch. We prefer better eat lunch and dinner . So we sit in a restaurant that offers a familly kitchen. Nice and typical.

The fourth and last monastery we visit is the monastery of Aghia Triada I photographed last night. Visit inside the monastery is even faster . However, we spend a long time in the garden to admire the landscape is really beautiful, quiet, calm . Moreover, most of the time , taking my photos , I try to enjoy this quiet … finally when tourist bus arrives, it’s cooked … and there are a lot of DD bus tourist!

Again, we end the day at Aghia Triada and once again the sun is not at the rendezvous . Damage.

Parga starting tomorrow on the west coast , not far from Corfu .
