Grand Canyon North Rim

Big day today: it is my father’s birthday! And to celebrate his birthday and my mother’s birthday (that was 2 weeks ago), we offer them a flight over Horseshoe Bend, Lake Powell, Rainbow Bridge and Monument Valley. It is a great experience, even if I am sick half of the flight! Once landed, we go back to the North Rim. This time, as expected, the road is open. Last time we came, we went to the South Rim, and we can compare them now. The 2 rims are totally different, it’s so amazing. The North Rim is “greener”: there are forests, animals… and fewer tourists. We don’t really hike there because we don’t have enough time: next time maybe! We just go to the main viewpoints. The way back to Page is “funnier”: a flat tyre forces us to stop. We change it with the sunset and several mule deers watching us! Isn’t it a nice and special birthday?
